John Schappert has announced new sales figures at the GDC
Schappert talked about the current state of the console on the market, pointing out "I think we sold more than 18 million consoles, in my last check." On the HD-DVD and plans for future Xbox 360 console as a multimedia has assured: "We have no plans to announce similar to that right now." The company still does not talk about the death of the HD-DVD format.
